Founded by the Etruscans and soon conquered by the Romans, Siena encloses all its untouched charm. One of the most attractive events that takes place twice per year in the city is the “Palio”, a horse riding race where the different districts of the city confront strenuously. This flat racing is celebrated on July 2nd and on August 16th at the extraordinary “Piazza del Campo” (Campo’s square) right in the heart of Siena.

This square is second to none for oddness: conceived as horseshoe-shaped and slightly inclined, is one of the most visited places in Tuscany.
If you love good cooking and Italian tastes, we recommend you to try typical sienese biscuits called “cantuccini” in any bistro of the city.
Choosing one of our Italian courses is the best way to improving your language skills while having a great time in the “Bel Paese”. Join one of our schools!
